HOW GOOD ARE YOU AT GIVING DIRECTIONS?

WHAT ABOUT FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS?

TASK: You will direct your partner (who is blind-folded) through the maze. You cannot touch your partner UNLESS you think they will injure themselves Ð BE RESPONSIBLE!!

You will graph the time taken to travel through the maze and compare your results on a column graph.

 
 

 

 

 

 


DIRECTIONS:

z    In pairs, note down important aspects to consider when giving directions:

 

 

 

 

 

z    Blind fold your partner, find a clear area and do a practice run. Note that the direction giver must stand BEHIND the blindfolded partner. Discuss any problems then swap and try another practice run.

z    Now, re-assess your direction-giving techniques.

z    Now move to the maze, blindfold your partner and note time of entry and exit. Swap and repeat the exercise. Remember to complete the table:
