How do these temperatures compare to your area?
Your teacher can find the temperatures for your area for the same two weeks by:
1. Going to the Weatherzone site
2. Entering the local postcode
3. Choosing a location
4. Clicking This Month
5. Choosing Feb 2009
Your task is to make a graph of the Sydney data and a graph of your local data.
Use the site Create A Graph to construct your graphs.
Feature Solution
The feature solution for the problem came from Jack & Peter; Daisy; Chelsea & Clancy from Tottenham CS.

What did you have to find out?
We had to find the tempuratures for Sydney and Tottenham. After we found out the tempuratures we had to put them into a table and then make two graphs.
What materials did you use?
Computer, pencil, brain, Create a Graph, thumbdrive.
How did you think? What strategies did you use? How did you solve this problem?
We printed of our graphs and used them. After we made our graphs we printed them of and sat them next to each other. We then used them to compare.
What answers did you come up with?
When we looked at our graphs we found out:
Week 2 was the hottest week in Sydney.
Week 2 was the hottest week in Tottenham.
Sydneys tepurature didn't change very much, we think this because it is on the coast.
Tottenham tempurature ranged from 24 degrees to 36 degrees.
Tottenham had the hottest week overall and that was their week 2. However the hottest day actually measured in Tottenham in February was 48 degrees during the heatwave.
