KID PIX - creating a slide show

• To create a slide show in Kid Pix you must first create and save a series of Kid Pix pictures.
  Each of these pictures should be named and saved separately into the same folder.
  (NB it's good practice to save everything in the same folder.. otherwise you might find that pictures and text could lose each other!
  Its also good practice to give each picture a name that immediately tells you what it is!)
  
• For example... the three pictures below were created individually in Kid Pix, named and saved in a folder called "My Camping Holiday".

Now open "Create a Slide Show" . A series of blank "slides" will be presented as shown.... You can present up to 99 slides in the one Slide Show!

To create a Slide Show in Kid Pix you need to do three things: 1. Select the picture you wish to show in each slide. To do this click on the frame icon and select the previously saved Kid Pix picture you want in this frame. 2. Select the music or recorded sound to accompany the slide. Try recording your voice in the Kid Pix paint a picture mode (look under the Goodies menu). 3. Choose a Transition ... explore the possibilities shown to select the way you'd like your slides to appear (and disappear).

Save the slide and then repeat these steps for each further slide. When saving the slide remember to give it a name that is easy to recall... probably something that refers to the subject of the slide.

Tip: You don't have to create the slides in exactly the order you wish to show them. Try "driving" the truck icons .... by simply clicking on a "truck" and holding the mouse button down, you can arrange your slides into any order you like.

Go to the GOODIES menu and select "Play Once"
If you're happy with the result SAVE it (under the FILE menu) or else experiment, add, subtract and explore!
