Your family, consisting of two parents and three
children aged 7, 11 and 15 years are organising a holiday to an
Australian Theme Park.
Your Task is to decide where to go:
Points to consider:
- cost (entry, special shows, etc)
- activities and suitability for all family
members-availability of food / drink
- transport to and from
- site map
- any educational value that could be gained
from the visit
You must research three theme parks and rank
them in order of preference.
You must present your findings in a slide
show. (eg Kid
Pix or Clarisworks/Appleworks
or Power Point)
Step 1:Organising Your
Information
- Print the summary
page.
- Use it to summarise your findings as you are
doing Step 2.

- Tourist Information Centre
- Travel Agencies
Step 3: What do I do with the
information?
Record all relevant information for all three
theme parks on the summary page.
You or your team must now make your choice and
rank the theme parks.
Which park will you visit for your holiday
adventure?
Step 4: Presentation
Create a slide show using Kid Pix, Claris Works or
Power Point.
It must include
- reasons for your choice
- a map or site location diagram
- pictures or photographs of your three theme
parks
You or your team must now present the
information to the class.
It must include:
- an introduction of team
members
- the summary chart
- a slide show
- participation by all team
members.
