CONGRATULATIONS!
Your family has won a prize from Tourism NSW.

The prize is a ten day tourist drive for a family of four ( 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 12).

You have been given $5000.00 for your holiday.

Your tour will begin and finish at your home town visiting at least five towns during your travels. YOU have to decide where to go!

Your task is to plan and budget the holiday.
You must allow $100 per day for food from your budget.
Remember, the total cost of your trip must not exceed $5000

 

Task 1

Waiting for you are 3 hire vehiles for you to choose from- a 4 cyclinder car, a 6 cylinder car and 4 wheel drive. You need to invesigate and choose the vehicle you will use on your trip.

Task 2

Your task is to plan your overnight stops and the tourist attractions you will visit. You must visit at least 1 tourist attraction in each town/area.
On a map mark your trip with towns and tourist attractions you will visit.

Task 3

Presentation

Your final presentation will be in the form of an oral report to your class. It must include the following:

1. Completed worksheets

2. Map of the area with towns and tourists sites visited marked.

3. Present in graph form ( using graph paper or a software graphing tool) the percentages of the total cost for petrol, accommodation, food, tourist attractions and car hire.
