1. You
believe that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
have the right to make decisions about their own future and
keep their traditional culture and customs. You have read in
the newspaper that the government is planning to build some
units on the site of a local Aboriginal burial ground. You
are outraged! You decide to join a political party to save
this sacred site. 2.
You
believe jobs and unions are very important to Australia
success and growth. The largest employer in your region is
threatening to close. You decide to join a political party
to save the jobs of your friends and
yourself. 3.
You have lived on 20 hectares of unspoiled wilderness for 20
years and have created your own native wildlife sanctuary as
you believe strongly in conservation. The Government has
decided to purchase your land for a new housing subdivision.
You have lobbied council, sent in petitions and staged
protests but nothing has changed. You are going to join a
political party to save your home and the
environment. 4.
Your
family has lived in rural Australia for several generations
surviving the many natural disasters that befall farmers
everywhere. Now, despite all your family's efforts, it is
getting harder and harder to make a living from the land.
The world markets are dictating lower and lower prices
whilst the banks demand repayments with increasing interest.
Is there a political party which can assist the Australian
farmers?
