On a recent school excursion you visited "Quillo's" world famous zoo. You were kidnapped by a gorilla and hidden in the lion enclosure. As a way to make it up to you, Quillo is giving you the opportunity to select your very own 'exquisite' pet from his zoo.

YOUR QUEST

You need to visit Quillo's Zoo, view the 'exquisite' animals and decide on the one that you would most like to keep and take home.

Which exquisite animal will you pick? Study three of the following : dolphin, koala, lion, panda, grizzly bear, giraffe, dingo.

Select one of these three as "your" pet.

YOU NEED TO CONSIDER

• Your home 'habitat'.
• What the animal eats.
• The habitat that the animal comes from.
• Special features of the animal, (size, lifespan, physical features,etc..)
• Advantages and disadvantages of owning the animal.

PRESENTING YOUR WORK

• Write a letter to Quillo stating the animal you would like and the reasons why.
• Create an information poster on your animal and present it to the class. Say why you selected this animal.
• Create a 'Beware ' poster to display on your front gate.
