Background: Scientists have discovered an alien colony is heading towards Earth to take over the planet which will destroy all life on Earth. However they believe that there is a chance that they will be able to set up human colonies on another planet. Your Task: You have been selected to work with a task force to discover which planet would be most suitable for human habitation. You will need to consider things such as - • size compared to the earth • distance from the earth • climate Step 1. First, print out WORKSHEET 1              Follow the links below to find out as much information as possible about planets in our solar system. The Solar System The Planets Step 2. When you have completed that task you should go to WORKSHEET 2 and rank the planets in order of choice. Step 3.
