Rhinoceros

Rhinoceroses are mammals with hoofed feet like horses and zebras. They are big and heavy animals with thick grey skin covering their body. The rhinoceros has either one or two horns, these are made out of hair that grow out of the skin.

Rhinoceroses live in different environments like grassy plains, near jungles and swamps and in bushy places.

They like to eat grass,leaves and plants.

Rhinoceroses can be as tall as 2 metres and weigh over 2 tonnes.

The rhinoceros can live up to 40 years.
