Kangaroos are native to Australia they usually live in warm, dry places. Kangaroos are mammals and are covered in hair or fur. Kangaroos are special because they belong to a group of mammals called marsupials. |

The female gives birth to live young and the joey lives in their mother's pouch until they are big enough to look after themselves. Kangaroos usually feed during the night or early in the morning, they eat grass and leaves and drink water. A kangaroo's life span is usually between 15 - 20 years. |
