Thorny Devils live mostly in the centre of Australia in deserts with sandy soils. They eat about 600-3000 small black ants a day which they catch with their long, flicking, sticky tongue. At night they dig into the soil to keep warm. During the day they shelter under small shrubs to get out of the heat. Thorny Devils do not need much water to survive.
