WOEDIL - What On Earth Did I Learn

What

WOEDIL is a reflective process that allows the student to verbalise what they have learnt. 
Why

This strategy is a structured process to allow students to express what they have learnt. 

It is a cooperative learning strategy providing opportunities to learn from others.

Teachers may use this process as a verbal assessment of individual and whole class learning.

How

This process is best used at the conclusion of a learning situation, lesson or day.  It is a culmination activity.

1.      Students are in a circle or at table groups.  In turn they begin their response by saying “What On Earth Did I Learn today is ………………”

2.      If a student does not wish to “WOEDIL” they can pass.

3.      WOEDIL can be recorded on a retrieval chart and displayed for future reference.
